POLLINATE @ NHAC: With I.R.O.K., Warrior One, Monkey Steak & More

November 30, 2011No Comments

This Friday we’re back in our Notting Hill home from home, the Arts Club! Our monthly visit to the wild west of London brings together some of our favourite acts in the capital. As it’s the festive season and our last show of the year we’ve pulled out all the stops to throw together a jolly old knees up!

We’re joined by the incredible I.R.O.K. (Intergalactic Republic Of Kongo) a band heavily tipped by NME, performing their “violent and contagious psychotropic afro-punk”. Not to be missed, get down early.

The DJ booth is jam-packed with superstars. Warrior One leads the way with his genre-defying, breakneck, bass music selection. Check out his recent experiment with Nokia, test running some of their new hand-held technology…

& proper classic ‘Bad Like Jimmy Cliff’ still getting dropped week after week in the clubs.

The magnificent Monkey Steak fly in from Bristol. Constantly defining and re-defining their vision of ‘Karnival’ music, always a treat to jump around to. Get in the mood by listening to their legendary track with MC Zulu…

Residents Moroka and Silky Boys who are all packing mega tunes (expect a heavy dose of Kwaito and RnB mash ups and maybe a little Moombahton…)!
