MURLO: Nectah IV EP

November 14, 20112 Comments

Our fourth Nectah EP comes from one of London’s most hotly tipped producers, Murlo. It’s a full on, digital soca and bashment affair with stunning effect. There is a health warning attached – be aware of potential repetetive strain injury caused by constant rewinding and wear padding before bouncing off the walls.

A game of two halves, the first two tracks (‘Parched’ and ‘Borvo’) being slow burning, synthesised bubblers. A nice warm up for what happens next. ‘Borvo’ gets a reworked, sped up and socafied and MC Doubla J jumps in on ‘Transform’ providing a torrent of hype that brings the EP to a stunning close. So much energy packed into one EP it’s a real eye opener of a debut from Murlo. Already garnering full support from Warrior One, Chrissy Murderbot, Poirier, Wildlife! and many more this is just the beginning of a road paved with Murlo bangers. Stream the tracks below and look out for the release in all good online stores (inc Juno, Beatport, Itunes & Boomkat) from November 28th 2011.
