MURLO // JBS: Featured in Chrissy Murderbot Mix
September 16, 2011No Comments
One of our favourite DJs in the world, Chrissy Murderbot, has recorded an incredible mix for one of our favourite blogs in the the world wide web, Bass Music. Chrissy’s long been a champion of house music in nearly all its forms, blending acid, jungle, bassline, funky & juke beats and has smashed too many parties to count. If you get a chance, you must see him play live. His show is always a floor filling, hyperactive spectacle. Earlier this year Chrissy dived head first into a new wave that’s been flooding the streets of Chicago. He found himself swimming with the sexy madness that is Juke & Footwork and came out with a truly remarkable album, ‘Women’s Studies’, on Planet Mu. Its still one the biggest releases of 2011, if you don’t have it already, buy, buy, buy!
For Bass Music he’s thrown together something special, flying his way through many genres and showcasing a bunch of new stuff from his labels, Loose Squares and Sleazetone. It kicks off with a Jumping Back Slash track called Shosholozaaaaa, a massive SA anthem from his forthcoming Nectah EP that’s already hitting clubs hard around the world.
Another high point is Murlo powering his way into the mix with yet another jaw dropping remix of a Grime classic, Nocturnal’s ‘Stay Down The Road’.
Downloadable on Soundcloud, streamable on Mixcloud and addictively listenable on both, here is Chrissy Murderbots mix in all its glory…
